Wage hike for MLAs: Bill to be presented today
A new bill to discuss an increase in the salaries for MLAs will be presented in the state legislature today (January 10).
The Bill will be presented today for debate, during the legislature’s session. Also to be discussed today is the formal vote of thanks for the Governor’s address.
The first session of the Assembly in the new year began day before yesterday. The session was inaugurated by Governor Banwarilal Purohit. All the members of the Opposition, led by the DMK, staged a walk out to show their protest against the governor.
The third day of the session will be held today. The day begins with a debate on the vote of thanks for the Governor’s address. Also lined up for discussion is the Bill proposing a hike in the salaries of the elected representatives. The size of the hike shall be discussed during the session.
