Centre Mulls Raising Retirement Age of Group A Officers

New Delhi:The central government is taking into consideration suggestions to raise the retirement age of Group A officers to accommodate the increasing number of senior bureaucrats in administration.

The government is seriously thinking of enhancing the retirement age of the Central Group A officers to 62 to cover the cost of ageing population.

  1. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENHANCE THE RETIREMENT FROM FROM 6O YEAR’S TO 62/65 YEAR’S RESPECTIVELY AT THESE MOMENT AS NOW A DAYS UNEMPLOYMENT AND HIGH IS A BIG PROBLEM IN INDIA.

    • Retirement age should be increased to 62 years because of the following reasons. 1. Longevity of human being improved worldwide with the development of science. 2. GDP growth which the government is looking for can be achieved by stopping two year pension money. Once the desired GDP is attained there will be no problems of payment of pension money.

  2. YES NEEDS INCREASING TO 62 OR 65 BECAUSE MORE THE EXPERIENCE MORE THE WORK DONE BY EMPLOYEES.PRESENT EMPLOEES INCLUDING GRP A R WORKING THREE TIMES MORE BECAUSE Of shortage of emploees. The experience employee will do good job. i.e. non -repetativve. IT IS MUCH

Retirement age is to be extended to 65 as recommended for Doctor’s as Banking is equally important for improving retiral benefits like other developing countries and reducing pension risk as India is least paying nation and on the other hand govt to come out with new VRS so that the purpose of giving right to work on performance and skills be served

  4. Retirement age should be 65 years for all CG Employee like Doctors & others. Unless Election of 2019 never support the Modi Govt. With prediction It is 100000% true.
