NC JCM Demands OROP for Central Government Employees too

“Like ex-servicemen, One Rank One Pension must also be given to the Central Government employees.”

The Central Government, which had agreed on policy-basis the One Rank One Pension Scheme for ex-defence employees, had finally accepted to implement it on September 5 this year. The government has not issued any official orders in this issue as yet. Due to some differences of opinion on certain clauses, the ex-servicemen have not ended their protests yet.

Meanwhile, the NC JCM has started to demand that similar One Rank One Pension scheme be given for the Central Government employees too.

NC JCM Staff Side has written a letter to the 7th Pay Commission that the differences in the pensions and retirement benefits enjoyed by the past, current, and future retirees from the Central Government services be removed. The representatives of the NC JCM had already, during their personal meeting with the Commission, presented a list of reasons in their Memorandum, as to why they too must be given OROP.

The Central Government employees are now eagerly waiting for an announcement that will qualify them to draw one rank one pension too, like the ex-servicemen of the armed forces.
