Subject : Vacation and Breaks in KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA during academic Session 2017-18
The Competent Authority has decided the following schedule for Vacation and Breaks in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic session 2017-18.
Note :
1.Both Dates (days) are inclusive
2. If the day of opening Vidyalaya is a Holiday Or declared a holiday by Govt., the Vidyalaya will open on the next day.

Guwahati region summer vacation needs revision:
The hottest months in Assam are July and August but the students of KV need to go to school during these hot days as they unnecessarily available summer vacation during May- June when they whether is pleasant. The other schools of the state board and those affiliated to cbse as well as central unversities remains closed during July but the students of kv of guwahati region need to go to school during the hot days of july. KV schools of Assam region should have summer vacation in accordance with the vacation of other school in the state. KVS needs to look into the matter and should not impose summer vacation during unnecessary days as this does not serve the purpose of vacation.
