DA Orders for bank employees from August to October 2019 under 10th BPS

Dearness allowance orders issued by Indian Banks’ Association to bank worker and officers for the month of August, September and October 2019 under X BPS.

Dearness allowance calculation for bank employees is slightly different from the Central Government employees’ DA calculation. Bank DA is still calculate depends on the old CPI base year 1960=100. So, conversion needed to old to new CPI for Average index. [Click to know more about calculation]

The below table shows the calculation method for the month of August, September and October 2019…

As per the settlement of 10th Bipartite, the rate of Dearness allowance payable to workmen and officers for the months of August, September and October 2019 will be 68.10% of Pay.

DA Hike for Rajasthan Govt Employees and Pensioners

The State Government of Rajasthan decided to enhance 3 percent of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for existing employees and pensioners with effect from 1.1.2019.

Arrears for two months, January and February will be credited to employees’ GPF Account and cash to be paid from March 2019 with salary.

Dear Sirs,
Dearness Allowance for Workmen and Officer Employees in banks for the months of February, March & April 2019 under X BPS/ Joint Note dated 25.5.2015

The confirmed All India Average Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (Base1960-100) for the quarter ended December 2018 are as follows:-

October 2018 – 6893.42
November 2018 – 6893.42
December 2018 – 6870.60

The average CPI of the above is 6885 and accordingly the number of DA slabs are 611 (6885-4440= 2445/4= 611 Slabs) The last quarterly Payment of DA was at 607 Slabs. Hence there is a increase in DA slabs of 4, i.e 611 Slabs for payment of DA for the quarter February, March & April 2019

In terms of clause 7 of the 10th Bipartite Settlement dated 25.05.2015 and clause 3 of the Joint Note dated 25.05.2015, the rate of Dearness Allowance payable to workmen and officer employees for the months of February, March & April 2019 shall be 61.10 % of ‘pay’. While arriving at dearness allowance payable, decimals from third place may please be ignored.

Subject: Rate of Dearness Allowance applicable w.e.f. 1.1.2018 to employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/Grade Pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even No. dated 26th September, 2017 regarding revision of the rate of Dearness Allowance w.e.f 1.7.2017 in respect of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/Grade Pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission.

2. The rate of DA admissible to above categories of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies shall be enhanced from the existing 139% to 142% w.e.f. 1.1.2018.

3. The provisions contained in paras 3, 4 and 5 of this Ministry’s O.M.No.1(3)/2008-E.11(B) dated 29th August, 2008 shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders.

4. The contents of this Office Memorandum may also be brought to the notice of all organisations under the administrative control of the Ministries/Departments which have adopted the Central Government scales of pay.
