Bonus 2015: Bonus for Central Govt Employees 2014-15
Has the Bonus Calculation Ceiling been increased?
“Each year, the Central Government employees have been receiving only pittance in the name of bonus.”
Annual bonus is normally granted to all the Central Government employees and Railway employees ahead of Saraswati Puja. As of now, the wage eligibility limit and calculate ceiling for issuing bonus for this year has not yet been announced officially. Yet, on September 1, 2015, the Ministry of Labour and Employment had, via its authorized mouthpiece, the Press Information Bureau, made an announcement, which said that that the highest limit for the calculation ceiling has been raised from Rs.3500 to Rs.7000. The highest amount of salary to qualify for the bonus has also been increased from Rs.10,000 to Rs.21,000. Despite this report, the government has not yet issued any confirmation.
