Dear Sir,
Sub: Seher-O-Iftar Celebrations during Ramzan – reg.
The Railway Board is aware that the holy Ramzan Month has since commenced from today (06/06/2016). The Railway employees working in the Zones / Division/ Units who will be observing fast during the holy month are required to leave early for home to perform Seher-O-lftar at the scheduled time in the evening. These staff are therefore needed to be given permission to leave offices/work places early.
Federation has received reports that the though the Railway Board had been issuing orders in the past, similar instructions have not been issued by the Board till today.
NFIR therefore requests the Railway Board to issue instructions to all Zones & Production Units etc., for permitting the employees to leave early during the holy month period of Ramzan. A copy of the instructions may be endorsed to the Federation.
