BJP gets ‘Army boost’ on foundation day

On the occasion of 35th foundation day of the BJP, several retired Army officers from Uttarakhand joined the BJP in front the party president Amit Shah at a function held in New Delhi today.
In a press note released by Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, Major General KD Singh VSM (retd), Major General (retd) VSM Lal Ji Singh, Major Genral (retd) KN Bhatt (AVSM), Lt General (retd) Ram Pradhan AVSM,SM,VSM, Captain Amar Singh Gusain (retd), president of the Assam Rifle Ex-servicemen

Association and several other retired Army officers joined the party today. BJP president Amit Shah administered the oath to the new members in the party and said the party would be strengthened with the experience of such stalwarts and play an important role in the forthcoming elections in the state. He also extended greetings to the party workers on the 35th foundation day of the BJP.

The retired Army officers also met national party secretary Ramlal and discussed the issue of ‘one-rank, one-pension’ with him.

BJP’s national secretary Arun Singh and leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Ajay Bhatt were also present on the occasion.
