The railway platform ticket is going increase twofold from April 1.
“The rate of platform ticket will be increased from Rs 5 to Rs 10 per per person from April, 2015,” said a senior Railway Ministry official.

The official said the Divisional Railway Managers (DRM) have been empowered to increase the rate of platform ticket beyond Rs 10 to regulate rush at platform during specific requirements like mela and rally.
